This page documents all changes included in the Yojimbo 4.7 release.
This update builds on changes made in the Yojimbo 4.5 and 4.6 upgrades. For important details about the changes made in those versions, please see the Yojimbo 4.5 release notes and Yojimbo 4.6 release notes.
Release notes for previous versions of Yojimbo are available in the release notes archive.

Changed the minimum macOS system requirement to 10.15.6.
Moved the search UI in-window for notes and PDFs, rather than relying on a separate window.
The system default behavior is to dim the text view when incremental searching is in progress, but this leads to the I-beam mouse cursor getting lost in the dim, because it’s very hard to see. So the dim is suppressed by default. This can be restored with an expert preference if desired:
defaults write com.barebones.yojimbo4 OGDimContentViewForIncrementalSearches -bool YES
Enlarged the text size of text labels and fields in the Bookmark, Password, and Serial Number item editors.
Made a change to fix a crash in WebKit when would sometimes occur when loading a web archive. (This frequently seemed to occur when syncing, but by no means was specifically related to that.)
Made a change so that syncing stays on when certain iCloud account errors are reported by the OS (which used to cause syncing to turn off). Note that this does not resolve any of the iCloud issues that previously caused syncing to turn off; but syncing should resume once the issue is resolved.
Fixed bug in which Yojimbo’s “Logs” directory was created in the home directory, rather than in Library.
Corrected the text background color for new Note items.
Fixed bug in which Note items whose names begin with a period couldn’t be viewed on the iPad after syncing. (The fix will take effect on the iPad when the affected items are resynced.)
Fixed an application crash which would occur when resolving sync data after a long period in which sync had been disabled, and very many changes were made in the database. (The sync will still fail, but the application won’t crash. As always if you have problems with sync, please contact Technical Support for assistance.)
When syncing is turned off (either explicitly or as the result of a sync error), clean up the local sync data so that if syncing is re-enabled subsequently, any database changes are correctly handled.
When syncing is already on at launch but this Mac’s first sync never finished (for example, if Yojimbo quit or crashed while that sync was importing the library), discard the incomplete local sync data and start over, rather than resuming it. Resuming it could cause items that existed only on this Mac to be deleted by the next sync.
Made changes to avoid deleting sync state data from iCloud when not absolutely necessary during handling of certain iCloud sync error conditions.
Corrected animation of the Quick Input Panel.
