First Update to the Recently Released Major New Version
NORTH CHELMSFORD, Mass. – October 15, 2019 – Bare Bones Software today announced the release and immediate availability of BBEdit® 13.0.1, the first maintenance update to the recently released major new version of its professional strength HTML and text editor.
BBEdit 13 builds on a new foundation that presents more than 100 new features, changes and improvements; many of which both help new users to discover and apply BBEdit’s powerful tools for editing and transforming text, and make it more efficient for experienced users to apply those same tools.
Grep cheat sheets, Pattern Playgrounds, “live” display of search results, multiple selection and editing, a new “Apply Transform” command, deeper support for “Dark Mode” and compatibility with macOS Catalina are among the many other enhancements, improvements and new features in BBEdit 13.

BBEdit 13.0.1 includes fixes for specific reported issues, and is a recommended and free update to all registered customers with BBEdit 13.
BBEdit offers a generous evaluation model in which its full feature set is available for the first 30 days of use. At the end of the 30-day evaluation period, BBEdit will continue to run with a permanent feature set which includes its powerful editing capabilities, but not its web authoring tools or other exclusive features. BBEdit’s exclusive features may be re-enabled at any time with a purchased license. BBEdit 13 offers a fresh 30-day evaluation to everyone.
